Dr Sally Bloomfield
Chairman, International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene
Professor Sally Bloomfield is Chairman of the International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene (www.ifh-homehygiene.org) and Honorary Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her work is devoted to developing and promoting hygiene in home and everyday life., based on sound scientific principles. She is also working to develop understanding of “hygiene issues” such as the “hygiene hypothesis” and “antimicrobial resistance”. Sally was Senior Lecturer in Kings College London (1972-1997), and Hygiene Manager, Unilever Research (1997 – 2001). She has published over 100 papers and made oral presentations at numerous major conferences including IPS, HIS, and IFIC.
