Professor Brett Mitchell is an internationally renowned expert and researcher in the field of infection prevention and control. He is Editor-in-Chief of Infection, Disease in Health, a member of the Australian National COVID-19 Evidence Taskforce Leadership Group and the Chair of a recent NHMRC committee responsible for the development of the Australian Guidelines Infection Control Guidelines. He has undertaken work with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Brett has over 150 peer reviewed publication and conference presentations, and has worked in a variety of nursing positions, clinical and managerial in Australia and abroad.
