Dr Shanom Ali is lead of the Environmental Research Laboratory (ERL) - a multi-disciplinary microbiology diagnostics and research facility at UCLH - and associate professor/lecturer at UCL and LSHTM.Dr Ali is director and technical manager of a UKAS accredited microbiology testing laboratory performing 50000+ tests per year and has over 12 years of experience of commissioning new hospitals and assuring their microbiological safety for high-risk patients
