Dr Ginny Moore

Ginny works for UKHSA and is Scientific Lead for the Biosafety, Air and Water Microbiology Group. Her team carries out applied microbiology research to determine how microorganisms can reach individuals via surfaces, water, and the air and the effectiveness of IPC interventions. Studies incorporate a wide variety of microbiological and aerobiological techniques and often involve the design, development and use of large scale model systems, most recently a full-scale, fully functional ‘mock’ hospital ward.
