Jennie Wilson has worked in the field of infection prevention and control for over 30 years, as an infection control nurse specialist, consultant epidemiologist at Public Health England and academic. Jennie developed and manged the SSI Surveillance Service at PHE for 17 years and has published widely on surveillance and many other research areas related to IPC. She is currently professor of Healthcare Epidemiology at the University of West London where she has been programme leader for the MSc in Infection Prevention & Control for 10 years. She is an author of the Epic National Evidence-based Guidelines for Preventing HCAI in NHS Hospitals in England and, Infection Control in Clinical Practice. Jennie is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Infection Prevention and Past President of the Infection Prevention Society.
