Dr Kieran Hand

Dr Kieran Hand is the national pharmacy and prescribing clinical lead for the Antimicrobial Prescribing & Medicines Optimisation (APMO) Workstream at NHS England. He previously worked as a specialist microbiology pharmacist for 17 years and was chief pharmacist at Portsmouth Hospitals for two years. Kieran previously served on the Council of BSAC (among others) and is an honorary associate professor at the University of Southampton with a research interest in decision-support for antimicrobial prescribing.
