Ruth Tennant is currently Director of Public Health in Solihull where she is responsible for public health, emergency planning & response and education and inclusion. Ruth has over 20 years of senior public health leadership in the East and West Midlands in the NHS and local government. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and a Board Member of the UK Association of Directors of Public Health. Ruth has also been on a number of national advisory committees including the NHS Prevention Board, Personalised Prevention Taskforce and, during the COVID-19 pandemic was a member of the NHS Test and Trace Testing Initiatives Evaluation Board.
